The FERWAFA Commissioner in charge of development Fidele Kanamugire attended the opening ceremony of the U13 Imizi Football Alliance final phase underway at Nyamirambo Tapis on Tuesday. 

The tournament, which involves more than 500 children featuring in U-10, U-13 and U-15 categories, signals a strong sign of commitment to grassroots football development. The competition will conclude on 03/01/2026. 

FERWAFA has contributed 160 balls to the Imizi Football Alliance final phase tournament underway in both Rwamagana and Kigali respectively. The distribution of soccer balls is part of the national plan that FERWAFA has embarked on following the climax of the FIFA Football Festival which attracted President Paul Kagame and FIFA boss Gianni Infantino on December 26 at Amahoro Stadium.
