TDS Competition 2026: FERWAFA holds crucial preparatory meeting with teams

FERWAFA, has today convened all FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) team representatives at its headquarters in Remera for a key preparatory meeting ahead of the upcoming FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) competition set to kick off on March 7, 2026.

The high-level coordination meeting brought together representatives of participating teams to align on operational, technical, and regulatory aspects of the competition as Rwanda continues implementing FIFA’s global youth development initiative.

The session focused on ensuring full readiness before the official start of the tournament. The agenda covered several critical areas, namely, regulations and official fixtures, refereeing arrangements and match officiating procedures, financial support framework allocated to participating teams and Confirmation of the official competition start date

FERWAFA Technical Directorate emphasized that the meeting was essential to guarantee clarity, transparency, and consistency in the implementation of competition standards.

The presence and active participation of all team representatives were highlighted as vital to ensuring smooth coordination and the successful rollout of the FIFA TDS Programme in Rwanda. Discussions allowed stakeholders to seek clarifications, share inputs, and collectively reaffirm their commitment to youth football development.

With all logistical and regulatory matters clarified, attention now turns to the highly anticipated kick-off on March 7, marking another significant milestone in Rwanda’s football development journey.
