The FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) programme officials have successfully completed a one-day training session aimed at strengthening the knowledge and operational capacity of those involved in managing the competition.
Organized by Fédération Rwandaise de Football Association (FERWAFA), the training focused on enhancing participants’ understanding of key areas essential to the effective delivery of the TDS programme, including the basic Laws of the Game, competition regulations, match reporting procedures, and methods for evaluating and monitoring competitions.
Throughout the session, participants engaged in practical discussions and learning activities designed to reinforce proper competition management and ensure consistency in match documentation and referee coordination.
The training brought together Regional Competition Managers from FERWAFA, the Directeur Technique Principal from the School Sports Federation, as well as members of the TDS programme management team, reflecting a collaborative effort to strengthen the programme’s implementation structure.
Facilitated by referee instructors and FERWAFA officials responsible for refereeing and competition management, the session provided valuable tools and practical guidance to support the smooth running of competitions under the FIFA Talent Development Scheme.
The initiative marks another important step in reinforcing the technical and administrative standards that underpin the development of young football talent in Rwanda.
