CAF A License Course Module 2 Underway in Kigali

The Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) has officially launched the 2nd Module of the CAF A License coaching course. The session was inaugurated today at FERWAFA HQ in Kigali by CAF Technical Expert Abrham Mebratu from Ethiopia.



This module combines both theoretical and practical sessions and will run until Saturday, April 18, 2026, as part of the structured CAF A License program designed to enhance high-level coaching standards in Rwanda.

The course brings together 25 Rwandan coaches, including five women, marking a historic first for female participation at this level in Rwanda. Their inclusion reflects ongoing efforts to promote inclusivity and strengthen women’s involvement in football technical development.

The coaches taking part in the ongoing CAF A License course are: 

Kirasa Alain, Mbabazi Alain, Frederick Crebiller, Rwaka Claude, Kwizera Jean Pierre, Nshimiyimana Hamdouni, Mbarushimana Shaban, Bazirake Hamimu, Lomami Marcel, Bizumuremyi Radjabu, Umunyana Seraphine, Murekatete Hamida, Ndanguza Theonas, Dushimimana Djamila, Mukashema Consolee, Mukamusonera Theogene, Dusange Ndagijimana Sasha, Hakizimana Jean Baptiste, Manirakiza Gervais, Rubona Emmanuel, Ndoli Mugisha, Nkotanyi Hitabatuma Ildephonse, Hakizimana Fidele, Nsengiyumva Francois, and Nshimiyimana Pierre Canisius.

The last CAF A License course held in Rwanda was in March 2017, producing a group of certified coaches including Mashami Vincent, Cassa Mbungo André, Habimana Sosthène, Nshimiyimana Eric, Seninga Innocent, Justin Bisengimana, Okoko Godefroid, Bizimana Abdu (Bekeni), Rwasamanzi Yves, Kayiranga Baptiste, Mbarushimana Abdu, and Bizimungu Ali.

The seven-module program will run through September 2026, with the expectation of producing a new generation of highly qualified coaches capable of contributing to both domestic and international football development.
