Imanzi FC have won the 2025-26 Third division league with a game to go to the end of the season.

Imanzi FC secured a 1-0 victory over Umutara SC in the Ferwafa third division men’s league play-off staged on Sunday, May 3. Imanzi leads the standings four points ahead of second placed Tony Academy with one remaining to the end of the season. 

On the same day, Tony Academy thrashed Muhisimbi FC 4-0, a result which propelled them to second position on the standings. 

With Imanzi already assured of next season’s second division qualification, attention now turns to a thrilling final day battle for the remaining promotion slots over the upcoming weekend. 

Tony RW, Umutara FC, and Muhisimbi FC are all still in contention, promising a tense and unforgettable finale.
