Sunrise FC and Unity FC have officially booked their places in the BK Pro League 2026/27 season after delivering outstanding performances in the 2025–2026 FERWAFA D2 Men’s Promotion Play-offs.

The final Matchday six (6) played on Saturday 16, brought the thrilling play-off campaign to a climax and confirmed the two sides as the deserved promotion winners.

Sunrise FC sealed top spot in style with a crucial 2-1 victory over Etoile de L’Est at Ngoma Stadium. The win crowned an impressive campaign for Sunrise, who finished with 13 points from six matches, recording four wins, one draw, and just one defeat.

At Bugesera Stadium, Unity FC secured the result they needed with a goalless draw against Intare FC to finish second on the standings with 10 points, following a strong run that included three wins, one draw, and two losses.

The final standings saw Etoile de L’Est finish third with 7 points, while Intare FC ended the season in fourth place with 3 points.

Throughout the play-offs, both Sunrise FC and Unity FC showed resilience, consistency, and determination, proving they are ready for the challenge of top-flight football next season.
