Today, a joint delegation composed of representatives from the FIFA Regional Office, FERWAFA, the Ministry of Sports, and Rutsiro District carried out a site inspection visit to Mukebera Stadium to evaluate the ongoing FIFA Forward-funded artificial pitch construction project.

The delegation noted that the construction activities are at an advanced stage and used the occasion to assess the outstanding works and additional interventions necessary to ensure that the stadium meets the required technical, safety, and operational standards. Discussions also focused on measures to safeguard the pitch and the nearby river, as well as other environmental protection and security-related works around the facility.
