The Rwanda National Football Team, Amavubi, has departed for Marrakech, Morocco, where they will hold a training camp and play two international friendly matches against Comoros and Tanzania as part of preparations for the upcoming AFCON 2027 qualification campaign.
The delegation is led by Mr. Desiré NIYITANGA, FERWAFA Commissioner in charge of Competitions. The friendlies will provide the technical team with an important opportunity to assess the squad and fine-tune preparations ahead of the qualification matches scheduled for September and October.
Before departure, the team met FERWAFA President, Mr. Shema N. Fabrice, who encouraged the players and officials to continue representing Rwanda with pride, commitment, and determination. He urged them to approach the matches with a winning mentality while upholding the values and ambitions of Rwandan football.
With all players fit and in high spirits, Amavubi head to Morocco focused on building momentum and strengthening their readiness for the challenges that lie ahead.
The Marrakech camp and the two friendly matches against Comoros and Tanzania mark an important step in Amavubi’s journey toward AFCON 2027 qualification, as Rwanda continues its preparations for the decisive fixtures later this year.
