FERWAFA officially opened the Refereeing Refresher Course for First Division Men Referees on 16 July 2026 as part of preparations for the upcoming BK PRO LEAGUE season.
The course was officially opened by FERWAFA Second Vice President in charge of Technical Matters and Development, Mr. Richard Mugisha, who highlighted the important role referees play in maintaining the quality, integrity, and professionalism of Rwandan football.
Organized as a refresher and assessment program ahead of the new season, the course aims to update referees on the latest interpretations of the Laws of the Game and evaluate their readiness for the BK PRO LEAGUE kick-off.
“A strong and competitive league requires equally competent and well-prepared referees. This course is an opportunity for our match officials to refresh their knowledge, improve their performance, and ensure they are fully ready for the challenges of the new season,” said Mr. Richard Mugisha.
The course will conclude on 18 July 2026 and includes classroom sessions, physical fitness tests, and practical assessments, with instructors providing instant feedback to help referees improve their preparation for the new campaign.
