The refereeing refresher course and fitness test for First Division Men Referees, organized by FERWAFA from 16–18 July 2026, officially concluded ahead of the new BK PRO LEAGUE season.

Over the three-day programme, referees underwent technical refresher sessions and mandatory fitness tests to assess their readiness for the upcoming campaign.

Closing the course, FERWAFA Commissioner in charge of Refereeing, Mr. Louis HAKIZIMANA, urged the referees to maintain high standards throughout the season.

“The knowledge and fitness you have demonstrated should now be reflected on the field. We expect professionalism, consistency, integrity, and confidence in every match you officiate.”

The annual refresher programme forms part of FERWAFA’s commitment to enhancing the quality and professionalism of refereeing in Rwanda ahead of the 2026/27 BK PRO LEAGUE season.
