FERWAFA Bids Farewell to Outgoing TD Gérard After Four Years of Service

The Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) today, September 11th, bid farewell  to  outgoing National Technical Director Gérard Marcel Buscher, whose four-year tenure concluded today. 

The farewell ceremony was presided over by the FERWAFA Acting President Maitre Claudine Gasarabwe who joined federation staff in paying tribute to Buscher for his dedicated service and contribution to the development of football in Rwanda.


In her remarks, Gasarabwe expressed appreciation for Buscher’s commitment, professionalism and the technical contribution he made during his four-year tenure. She highlighted his role in strengthening technical structures, supporting the development of coaches and players, and contributing to the Federation’s broader vision of building a stronger and more sustainable football system.


“We thank you Gerard for the passion and dedication with which you served Rwandan football, your contribution will remain part of the journey and progress achieved during your time with FERWAFA,” added Gasarabwe.

For his part, Mr. Gerard expressed his sincere gratitude to FERWAFA, its leadership, staff, coaches, players and the wider football family for the support and trust extended to him throughout his tenure.

Looking back on his four years in Rwanda, Buscher described the experience as a meaningful chapter of his professional journey, expressing pride in the work accomplished together and gratitude for the relationships and memories created along the way.

He thanked everyone who walked alongside him during his mission and acknowledged the collective effort that made the achievements of the past four years possible.
