The Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) has, on 17th September 2026, provided extensive training to 67 Match Commissioners and Referee Assessors on the use of the FIFA Competition Management System (FCMS) and competition management tools.

The workshop was organised by FERWAFA with support from the FIFA Women’s Development Programme, through the FIFA League Development Project.

The training prepares officials for the rollout of FCMS across all women’s football competitions, including women’s under-age competitions.

The initiative aims to strengthen competition administration, improve match reporting and promote more efficient and standardised management of women’s football competitions in Rwanda.

This marks another step in FERWAFA’s efforts to modernise competition management and strengthen the structures supporting the continued development of women’s football.
