Etincelles FC held a talent identification for youth players who will constitute their U-17 and U-20 teams ahead of the upcoming FERWAFA Youth league season. 

The two-day session held on September 19-20 at Rubavu Stadium, Rubavu District was attended by General Secretary, Bonnie Mugabe, representing the leadership of FERWAFA. 

The activity, organized by Etincelles FC, brought together young talented players from football academies across Rubavu District as part of the club’s preparations for the upcoming FERWAFA U-17 and U-20 competitions.

The FERWAFA General Secretary encouraged the young players to develop a strong love for football, work hard and remain disciplined throughout their football journey.

He also highlighted the importance of grassroots development in building the future of Rwandan football, noting FERWAFA’s continued commitment to youth football through the U-15, U-17 and U-20 national teams, as well as various youth competitions and development programmes.

The selected talents/players were encouraged to remain focused on their development, with the ambition of progressing through the different levels of football and, one day, representing Rwanda’s national team, Amavubi.

Etincelles FC youth teams were also provided with footballs as FERWAFA’s contribution towards supporting the club’s youth development activities and providing young players with equipment to train and play football.

FERWAFA continues to encourage and support initiatives that create opportunities for young players across the country to discover, develop and pursue their football potential.
