Rwanda will field both U-15s Boys and Girls’ national teams at the 2026 CAF African Schools Championship CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers from December 6–9, 2025.
Meeting the teams today at FERWAFA Accommodation facility, FERWAFA’s Commissioner in charge of Legal and Governance Mme. Louise Ndengeyingoma reminded both teams to carry the nation’s flag with pride.

She also urged them balance both education and sport, a discipline that shapes champions, and the dignity of representing Rwanda beyond its borders.
“You carry our flag not only on your chest, but in your character. Stay focused, stay disciplined, and never separate your education from your talent. This journey you begin is not just about winning a match, it is about becoming the kind of Rwandans who rise, inspire, and lead. Keep this in mind and remember that FERWAFA stands behind you, fully and proudly,” Mme. Ndengeyingoma said.
The qualifiers will also host CAF’s Capacity Building Programmes, including the Young Reporters, Young Referees, Young Medical Officers initiatives, CAF D License coaching course

Ten Boys’ teams and eight Girls’ teams have confirmed participation, with the draw set for November 10th at the FUFA Studio in Mengo.
