The meeting which took place at FERWAFA Accommodation Facility in Remera, Kigali City, focused on good governance standards which are aimed at reinforcing best practices within FIFA’s Member Associations (MA)’s structures.
The session which was held on the sidelines of the monthly FERWAFA Executive Committee Meeting, was facilitated by FIFA’s Member Associations Governance Services Manager Emilie Domm, who was in company of FIFA Regional Office Lead Davis Ndayisenga and MA Development Manager Sixbert Habimana.
A number of key areas of governance were discussed over the session with discussions concentrating more specifically on good governance processes and principles and clarifying the differences in the roles and responsibilities of different football bodies within the federation and separation of powers among others.

They reinforce integrity and transparency in the Federation’s operations, which is fundamental to delivering on FERWAFA’s mission of developing, promoting, and professionalizing football in Rwanda.”
The governance session marks another step in FERWAFA’s ongoing commitment to institutional excellence, accountability, and sustainable growth.
By embedding strong governance principles into its daily operations, FERWAFA continues to align its structures with its mission to build a transparent, professional, and globally competitive football ecosystem in Rwanda.
